We left the campground early Tuesday morning and drove over to the park next to the Bridge and had our breakfast there. It was a beautiful morning so we walked around the park and enjoyed the views of the light house and the Bridge. Then we headed across the might Mac. We recorded our first trip across the bridge in the motor home with the GoPro on the windshield and here is a short clip from that footage …

From St. Ignace we headed west on US2. Since we left earlier than originally planned our next stop would be most of the way across the U.P. We decided to take the lower route since we had never been beyond Fayette on that route. Coffee break was at a roadside park right on the water ...

and lunch break at another waterfront park in Manistique.

We stopped for a break in the afternoon at Bewabic State Park which is on one of the Fortune Lakes near Crystal Falls. It is a beautiful park and I would love to camp there someday and canoe through the Fortune Lakes.

Our destination for the day was Lake Gogebic State Park. Lake Gogebic is the largest inland lake in the U.P. and we were able to get a beautiful site right on the lake.
